The RISE Summit is a five day conference on CSR, sustainability, innovations & entrepreneurship. The Social and Sustainability Immersion Program (SSIP) and a tour to Pune are additional activities of the RISE Summit aimed to showcase and highlight Sweden’s involvement in India.

The SI-SSIP roundtable at the RISE Summit on 20th September, will share experiences and explore collaboration in projects that focus on diversity, inclusion and sustainability among the Swedish Institute Alumni and Swedish companies in India.

As part of the SI-SSIP, a study tour will be undertaken of the CSR and sustainability activities of two companies in Pune on the 21st of September; SKF (Sweden) and Suzlon (India).

SKF India, a leading global technology provider has a Sports Academy where underprivileged children are taught football and life-skills. They are also taken
to Sweden to participate in tournaments. The Swedish Institute Alumni will play a football match with the SKF project/student team.

Suzlon, a world leader in renewable energy solutions is associated with the Swedish Institute Management Program (SIMP), and has various sustainability and CSR initiatives, which are based on renewable energy with transformative and responsive programs for both communities and employee engagement.

There will also be a networking event for the Swedish Institute Alumni with development sector practitioners and Swedish companies in Pune .

The session will showcase the Global Launch of Mobile App by The Red Dot Foundation (Safecity) on The International Day of Peace to raise awareness on sexual violence in their communities..  The app is being released at the Posner Centre, Denver, USA in conjunction with the United Nations Foundation, Colorado and Project X-ite, a University of Denver initiative.
